and China
- Somewhat sensitive to heat, provide shade
- Nest above ground (as well as on ground)
- 2-3 days after hatch chicks can fly!
- Attains full color in second year, ready to reproduce
- Named after Jacob Temminck
- Best when kept in pairs
- Incubation period 28 days
- clutch size 3-6 eggs
